On 18 October 2010, at the Giovanni da Udine theater in Udine, the chairman of GLP Gilberto Petraz received the award for Excellence in innovation, the highest accolade given by the Udine Chamber of Commerce.

The award was given in recognition of the fact that:
“Gilberto Petraz was the first in Friuli to understand the importance of protecting creativity and innovation in economic development, a pioneer and now a renowned point of reference, on an international level, in the field of intellectual property consultancy, an impassioned entrepreneur with a natural sense for the future of the economy.”
