Over 500 million for major research and development projects
Two decrees aimed at facilitating major R&D projects published in the Official Gazette: total budget of 519 million euro 25 September 2019
Two decrees of the Ministry for Economic Development (MiSE) have been published, relaunching the funding interventions to support large research and development (R&D) projects with a total budget of €519 million. The interventions are summarized below.

The Decree refinances, throughout the entire national territory, funding interventions in favor of companies that invest in large research and development projects in the “Digital Agenda” and “Sustainable Industry” sectors. The measure is financed with resources from:

NEW NOTICE “INTELLIGENT FACTORY, AGRIFOOD, LIFE SCIENCES and PERFORMANCE CALCULATION” A new funding intervention in favor of research and development projects promoted in technology field |

The Decree defines a new funding intervention in favor of research and development projects in the sectors implementing the National Strategy for Intelligent Specialization, which are the backbone of the country's production fabric. The intervention - which has been allocated resources of 190 million euro - will be implemented according to a negotiated evaluation procedure for projects with eligible costs of between 5 and 40 million euro. The funding can be granted in the form of a contribution to expenditure and subsidized financing, in accordance with the provisions of EU Regulation no. 651/2014. |
