The European Union Intellectual Property Office opens on 23 March 2016
The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market will be replaced by The European Union Intellectual Property Office. 16 March 2016It is now round the corner: on 23 March 2016 the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) will be replaced by The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) that from said date will deal with the European Union Trademark (EUTM), which replaces the former known Community Trademark (CTM).
In order to allow a smooth handover process, the OHIM will be closed on 22 March 2016 and the services of said Office will not be accessible on said date. Any deadlines will automatically be postponed to 23 March 2016 on which date, the EUIPO will be fully functional and accessible.
